Representatives and performers from the affiliated orchestras gather once a year on the same stage to celebrate their Annual National Festival: The federation organizes every year, in a different part of the national territory, a festival of amateur orchestras lasting an average of three days. The joint performances are a unique occasion for participants of every age to exchange ideas and improve their technical skills. |

|
- Participating orchestras are formed by average citizens' orchestras and youth orchestras (members of youth orchestras must be under 22 years of age)
They gather for public rehearsals and joint concerts.
- Conferences, symposia and debates about management problems are also part of the festival.
- Individual seminars and study groups for every section of the orchestra are a unique opportunity for all performers to increase their knowledge and skills.
- International exchanges with foreign federations, in particular the German Amateur Orchestra Federation (BDLO) are actively promoted
